Vertrasteel (Liam GmbH) is a Scrap Manufacturing Company based in Koeln-Lindenthal, Germany, established in 2023. The company focuses on the procurement and supply of HMS 1&2 Scrap, working with suppliers mainly across Europe. Vertrasteel acts as the authorized international representative of Vertra Steel, an Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) steel producer located in Adana, Turkey. As part of this role, Vertrasteel handles the sourcing of various grades of ferrous scrap, including HMS 1&2 (80:20 blend), shredded scrap, bonus grade, and other grades that follow ISRI 200–206 or EU E1–E3 standards.

Currently, Vertrasteel is seeking offers for HMS 1&2 (80:20) scrap, starting with a trial shipment of 500–1,000 metric tons. If the trial is successful, monthly volumes may increase to 10,000 metric tons. The material is to be delivered on a CFR (Cost and Freight) basis to Iskenderun or Mersin port in Turkey. All shipments must be inspected at the loading port by SGS or another recognized inspection agency. Accepted payment terms include L/C (Letter of Credit) at sight or CAD (Cash Against Documents), with flexibility for trial shipments.

Suppliers are asked to submit proposals that include material availability, loading port, CFR price per metric ton, and any available photos, videos, or composition sheets. Vertrasteel is open to discussing pricing, delivery timelines, and specifications, depending on supplier capacity and requirements. The goal is to align material sourcing with the ongoing production needs of Vertra Steel, which has a monthly production volume of 100,000 tons at its facility in Adana.

Vertrasteel supports various shipping terms including FOB (Freight on Board), CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight), and CFR (Cost and Freight) based on supplier preference. The company manages sourcing, logistics, and procurement through a single facility and a team of 200 employees.
