Spot rubber prices turn weak

Physical rubber prices finished weak on Friday. RSS 4 declined to Rs.99 from Rs.99.50 a kg on Thursday. According to market circles the climate was fair enough to put pressure on the prices. The trading activities were in a slow pace in the absence of domestic futures. The market made al round declines on buyer resistance amidst low volumes.

BETTER AT BANGKOK

The rubber futures remained closed during the normal sessions on account of Diwali. RSS 3 weakened at its December futures to 291.7 yen from 294.9 yen a kg at TOCOM. The grade’s spot closed better by 20 paise at Rs.102.25 against Rs.10-2.05 a kg at Bangkok.

Spot prices were (Rs./kg): RSS-4: 99(99.50); RSS-5: 96(97); ungraded : 93.25(94); ISNR20: 95(95.50) and latex 60 per cent : 64.50 (64.50).
