Nickel improves on global cues

Mumbai, Jan. 6 Metal
prices rose sharply on the non- ferrous metal market on Wednesday due to heavy stockists buying triggered by firming of prices in London Metal Exchange ( LME). Tin hardened by Rs 10 a kg to Rs 920. Nickel and brass utensils scrap strengthened by Rs 5 a kg each to Rs 945 and Rs 257 respectively. Copper scrap heavy and copper armature firmed up by Rs 4 a kg each to Rs 364 and Rs 357 respectively. Aluminium utensils scrap also inched up by Re 1 a kg to Rs 95. Lead eased by Re 1 a kg to Rs 108. — PTI
