Metals firm on industrial demand

Mumbai, Jan. 4 Metal prices edged higher on the non- ferrous metal market on Monday on good demand from industrial users. Prices of copper utensils and aluminium utensils eased on reduced buying by consumer industries. Tin rose by Rs 5 a kg to Rs 905. Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar and copper sheets cutting moved up by Rs 2 a kg each to Rs 363, Rs 391 and Rs 347 respectively. Copper scrap heavy, copper armature, brass utensils scrap and lead also inched up by Re 1 a kg each to Rs 357, Rs 352, Rs 254 and Rs 105 respectively. Copper utensils scrap and aluminium utensils scrap softened by Re 1 a kg each to Rs 332 and Rs 94 respectively. — PTI
