Spot rubber prices unchanged

Kottayam, Nov. 3

Spot rubber closed unchanged on Tuesday. According to sources the market lost its direction as the domestic rubber futures slipped shedding the initial gains on late trades on NMCE.

Sheet rubber finished flat at Rs 109.50 a kg on buyer resistance.

There were no fresh enquiries from the tyre sector. The volumes were dull.

Futures slip

The November futures slipped to Rs 110.30 (110.80), December to Rs 112.50 (112.80), January to Rs 114.42 (114.64) and February to Rs 116.10 (116.48) a kg for RSS 4 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).

The Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM) remained closed on account of National Culture Day.

RSS 3 slipped to Rs 115.12 (115.18) a kg at Bangkok.

The grade firmed up to Rs 114.10 (113.10) a kg on Singapore Commodity Exchange (SICOM).

Spot rates were (Rs/kg): RSS-4: 109.50 (109.50); RSS-5: 105 (105); ungraded: 101 (101); ISNR 20: 99.50 (99.50) and latex 60 per cent: 73 (73).
