Asian rubber futures settled mostly lower in thin trade on Monday, with the closure of the bellwether Tokyo Commodity Exchange for a public holiday in Japan damping interest elsewhere, traders and analysts said.

On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, rubber futures settled lower for the fourth consecutive session, weighed down primarily by bearish fundamentals, said Shanghai Jiuheng Futures analyst Mr Zhang Fangfang.

RSS3 futures on the Agricultural Futures Exchange of Thailand settled lower, in line with the similar decline on the SHFE.
