H1 rubber output up 27%

Natural rubber output rose 27.1 per cent in the first six months of 2008-09, while exports rose by 70.5 per cent with domestic prices ruling below international prices, a senior Rubber Board official said. Total output in April-September was 3,93,115 tonnes, compared with 3,09,345 tonnes a year ago, the official told Reuters on Friday.
