Nickel, copper up on global cues

Nickel and copper prices rose in the range of Rs.1-5 a kg in the non-ferrous metal market on Friday owing to rise in its prices at London Metal Exchange triggered by fresh buying by traders and consuming industries. Nickel plate (4x4), (9x9) and (4x24) looked up by Rs.5 to settle at RS.1,370-1,530, Rs1,400-1,20 and Rs.1,400-1,530 a kg respectively. Copper wire scrap, copper super d rod, copper wire bar, copper mixed scrap, C C rod, utensil scrap and mixed scrap also pushed up by Re.1 each to Rs.340, Rs.360, Rs.365, Rs.320, Rs.355, Rs.315 and Rs.310 per kg respectively.
