Chalco ups alumina spot price 8.5%

Aluminium Crop of China Ltd, the world’s third largest producer of alumina, said it raised its spot alumina price 8.5 per cent to 3,800 yuan a tonne from Tuesday. The company, which is also known as Chalco, said the current import c.i.f. price for alumina was around $430 per tonne and supply was tight.
