Moderate rise in copper prices

Copper prices firmed up moderately on the non-ferrous metal market here today on good industrial demand coupled with higher LME advices. Elsewhere, nickel, zinc and lead also inched up mild industrial buying. In copper, cable scrap moved up by Rs.5 per kg to Rs.340, scrap heavy to Rs.337 per kg, armature to Rs.332 per kg, utensils scrap to Rs.312 per kg, wire bar to Rs.370 per kg and sheets cutting to RS.33 per kg. Nickel rose by Rs.10 per kg to Rs.1410, zinc to Rs.127 per kg, lead to Rs.127 per kg and brass utensils scrap to Rs.245 per kg.
