Emal smelter work to begin soon

UAE’s Emirates Aluminium, or Emal, will start work on the first phase of a new aluminium smelter in Abu Dhabi in December, the UAE-based Al Bayan daily has reported citing the project manager. The first production phase of the smelter is expected to start in April 2010 with a capacity of 7,00,000 tonnes a year, the project manager Mr. Youssef Al Bastaki was quoted as saying by Al Bayan
