Copper, zinc weakens on weak LME

Copper and zinc prices weakened on the non-ferrous metal market on Monday due to fall in industrial offtake amidst lower advices from London Metal Exchange. Copper wire scrap, copper super d rod, copper wire bar, copper mixed scrap and C.C. rod were quoted lower at Rs.360, Rs.380, Rs.385, Rs.340 and Rs.345 per kg respectively. Zinc slab and zinc dross also traded weak at Rs.175 and Rs.130 a kg respectively.
