Sharp fall in metal prices

Prices of nickel, copper and zinc declined sharply on the non-ferrous metal market on Tuesday on lack of industrial demand coupled with lower LME advices. Nickel dropped by Rs.30 per kg to Rs.1,550 from Rs.1,580 previously and copper armature by Rs.7 per kg to Rs.351. Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy and copper utensils scrap declined by Rs.5 per kg each to Rs.360, Rs.356 and Rs.320 respectively. Copper wire bar also moved down by Rs.3 per kg to Rs.387, zinc by Rs.2 per kg to Rs.163 and brass sheets cutting by Re.1 per kg to Rs.269. Lead moved up by Rs.2 per kg to Rs.127.
