Nickel gains on firm LME

Select base metal prices quoted higher on the nonferrous metal market on Tuesday on increased buying by stockists and consuming industries triggered by firming trend at the London Metal Exchange. Nickel plate 4x4, 9x9 and 4x24 were remained in stockists buying in line with higher LME advices and str4enghtened by Rs.10 each at Rs.1,400-1,550, Rs.1,545 and Rs.1,425-1,555 per kg respectively. Copper wire scrap, copper super D rod, copper wire bar and copper mixed scrap were quoted higher at Rs.372, Rs.392, Rs.397 and Rs.352 per kg respectively. Lead too finished higher at Rs.115 a kg.
