Nalco to sell 3 lakh t alumina

National Aluminium Co. will next month sell 300,000 tonnes of the aluminium –making raw material through a one-year contract, its Chairman, Mr.C.R. Pradhan said. The Company known as Nalco, will sell alumina in cargoes of as much as 30,000 tonnes. Mr. Pradhan said from Bhubaneswar. Details of the contract will be finalized later this week, he said. The company sold 30,000 tonnes of alumina to a Singapore-based trader at $332 a tonne on Aug. 23, Mr. Pradhan said.
