Nickel falls on global trend

Prices of nickel and zinc declined moderately on the non-ferrous metal market on Monday owing to lack of industrial demand coupled with lower advices from London Metal Exchange. Tin, lead and copper firmed up due to good demand from industrial users. Nickel fell by Rs.20 per kg to Rs.1,380 from Rs.1,400 and zinc also moved down by Rs.4 per kg to Rs.171 from Rs.175 previously. Tin moved up by Rs.5 per kg to Rs.750, lead by Rs.5 per kg to Rs.115, copper wire bar by Rs.3 per kg to Rs.385, copper armature by Re.1 per kg to Rs.346 and copper sheets cutting by Re.1 per kg to Rs.341.
