Nickel gains on industrial demand

Tin and nickel prices rose further on the non-ferrous metal market on Thursday on sustained industrial demand amid bullish global cues. Copper, brass, zinc and lead also ended marginally higher on mild buying support. Tin strengthened by Rs 10 a kg to Rs 1,365 and nickel rose by Rs 5 a kg to Rs 1,180. Copper sheets cutting moved up by Rs 2 a kg to Rs 383. Copper cable scrap, copper armature, copper utensils scrap, copper wire bar, brass utensils scrap, zinc and lead all inched up by Re 1 a kg each to Rs 402, Rs 387, Rs 364, Rs 430, Rs 266, Rs 125 and Rs 115 respectively.
