Weak conditions prevailed on the wholesale non-ferrous metal market on Friday as most of base metals fell back on emergence of stockists selling triggered by weakening trend at London Metal Exchange. Poor demand from consuming industries too negatively impacted the trading sentiments. Market men said fresh selling by stockists after overnight weakness London Metal Exchange (LME) mainly led to fall in base metal prices. Nickel plate 4x4, 9x9, 4x24 met with heavy selling and plunged by Rs.10 each at 2,307-2,352, Rs.2,307, Rs.2307-Rs.2,377 per kg respectively. Tin ingot lost Rs.5 at Rs.780 per kg respectively.
