China refined copper imports up

Hong Kong, Jan. 22

China's imports of refined copper rose 25.5 per cent on the month in December, fuelled by strong domestic prices and the arrival of term shipments before the end of the year. Imports of refined copper, the most popular type in global and domestic markets, rose to 244,013 tonnes in December after a rise of 15 per cent in November to 194,388 tonnes, data released by the General Administration of Customs showed.
