Aluminium up; nickel declines

Prices of nickel tin and zinc declined on the local non-ferrous metal market on Thursday due to lack of industrial demand while copper, lead, brass and aluminium moved up on good industrial support. Nickel dropped further by Rs.25 per kg to Rs.1,725 from Rs.1,750 previously, followed by tin by 5 per kg to Rs.695 and zinc by Rs.2 per kg to Rs.185. However, copper utensils scrap, copper wire bar and lead all moved up by Rs.2 per kg each to Rs.310, Rs.380, and Rs.102 respectively. Brass utensils scrap also looked up by Re.1 per kg to Rs.254, aluminium ingots to Rs.135.50 per kg and aluminium utensils scrap to Rs.114.
