Metal prices decline on low industrial demand

Nickel, tin, copper and brass prices declined on the non-ferrous metal market on Tuesday on reduced demand from consumer industries amid stockists offloading. Zinc and aluminium edged up on higher London Metal Exchange (LME) advices. Nickel dropped by Rs 20 a kg to Rs 890 and tin by Rs 8 a kg to Rs 840. Copper cable scrap, copper armature and copper wire bar fell by Rs 2 a kg each to Rs 336, Rs 323 and Rs 364 respectively. Copper scrap heavy, copper utensils scrap, copper sheets cutting and brass sheets cutting also eased by Re 1 a kg each to Rs 330, Rs 301, Rs 317 and Rs 234. Zinc and aluminium utensils scrap inched up by Re 1 a kg each to Rs 124 and Rs 83 respectively.
