Base metals fall on weak demand

Mumbai, Nov. 12

Nickel, brass and copper prices fell moderately in an otherwise lacklustre non-ferrous metal market here today in the absence of demand from consuming industries. Nickel declined by Rs 5 a kg to Rs 920 from overnight closing level of Rs 925. Brass utensils scrap, copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper utensils scrap and copper wire bar also eased by a rupee per kg each to Rs 220, Rs 323, Rs 317, Rs 289 and Rs 351, respectively.
