Nalco raises product prices

New Delhi, Nov. 5

National Aluminium Co Ltd increased prices of aluminium products by Rs 1,000 a tonne reflecting the recent uptrend in prices on the London Metal Exchange, Director Finance, Mr B.L. Bagra said. ''The strengthening of the rupee has restrained us from taking advantage of the stronger LME prices. Today's increase was long due,'' Mr Bagra told.Nalco had last raised aluminium product prices in July by Rs 5,000 a tonne on account of the firming up of prices on the LME.
