Metals recover on global cues

Mumbai, Oct. 30

Base metals prices recovered smartly on the non-ferrous metal market on Friday on heavy stockists' buying in view of sharp rally in London Metal Exchange (LME). Nickel strengthened by Rs 8 a kg to Rs 965. Tin, copper cable scrap and copper wire bar rose by Rs 5 a kg each to Rs 845, Rs 327 and Rs 355 respectively. Copper scrap heavy and copper sheet cutting firmed up by Rs 4 a kg each to Rs 320 and Rs 308. Copper armature, copper utensils scrap and brass utensils scrap moved up by Rs 3 a kg each to Rs 312, Rs 291 and Rs 219.
