Nickel declines on weak demand

Mumbai, Oct. 15

Nickel prices declined further on the non-ferrous metal market on Thursday on lack of industrial demand. Copper and brass sheets cutting also moved down on reduced demand from consuming industries. Brass utensils scrap edged up on some buying support. Nickel dropped by Rs 10 a kgo to Rs 940 and copper sheets cutting by Rs 2 a kg to Rs 296. Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar and brass sheets cutting also softened by Re 1 a kg each to Rs 313, Rs 341 and Rs 222 respectively. Brass utensils scrap ended slightly higher by Re 1 a kg to Rs 213. -PTI
