Copper nickel prices forecast up

Standard Bank Group Ltd., South Africa’s largest bank raised its 2007 price forecasts for copper, aluminium and nickel. Copper will average $6,900 a tonne this year, Standard bank said in a monthly report. The bank forecast an average price of $6,520 in its previous report. Aluminium will average $2,800 a tonne from $2,620, and nickel $39,170 from $36,235, the bank said. Lead will average $1,800 from $1,685 and tin $12,950, from $12,575. Standards zinc forecast of $3,720 was unchanged.
