Metals fall on subdued demand

Mumbai, Sept. 29

Nickel prices fell moderately on the non-ferrous metal market on lack of demand from industrial users. Copper, brass and zinc also eased owing to poor offtake from consuming industries. Nickel declined by Rs 5 a kg to Rs 930. Copper scrap heavy, copper armature, copper utensils scrap, and brass sheets cutting moved down by Rs 2 a kg each to Rs 311, Rs 305, Rs 285 and Rs 223 respectively. Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar, copper sheets cutting, brass utensils scrap and zinc also softened by Re 1 a kg each to Rs 317, Rs 345, Rs 300, Rs 215 and Rs 110.
