Copra prices weak on sluggish demand

New Delhi, Sept. 29

Copra prices fell by Rs 100 a quintal in a steady dry fruits market on Tuesday on subdued demand. Adequate stocks following fresh arrivals from producing region also put pressure on the select commodity prices. Copra prices declined by Rs 100 to close at Rs 5,900-6,000 a quintal. Almond (California) new was quoted at Rs 9,800, Almond (gurbandi) at Rs 4,900, almond (girdhi) at Rs 2,900-3,000 and Abjosh Afghani at Rs 8,000-16,000.
