Nickel recovers on demand

Mumbai, Sept. 25

Nickel prices recovered moderately on the non-ferrous metal market here on Friday on the back of fresh demand from industrial users. Aluminium utensils also moved up on better offtake from consuming industries. While, copper and brass declined in the absence of industrial demand. Nickel rose by Rs 5 a kg to Rs 950. Aluminium utensils scrap also edged up by Rs 2 a kg to Rs 82 as against Rs 80. However, copper scrap heavy slipped by Rs 4 a kg to Rs 311 from Rs 315 on Thursday. Copper armiture, copper sheets cutting and brass moved down by Rs 3 a kg each to Rs 306, Rs 302 and Rs 222 respectively.
