Nalco issues aluminium sale tender

Bhubaneswar, India, Sept. 23

National Aluminium Co Ltd (Nalco) issued a tender to sell 4,500 tonnes of aluminium ingots, a company source said on Wednesday. The last date to submit bids is Sept 29, said the source. Nalco, exports about one-third of its aluminium production, which was 361,262 tonnes in 2008/09, and its prices are looked at as an international benchmark. Nalco last sold aluminium ingots at premium of $85.25 a tonne to the LME cash price on a c.i.f. basis, the same source had said early September.
