Nickel improves on industrial support

Press Trust of India Mumbai, Sept. 22 Nickel prices rose moderately on the non-ferrous metal market on good demand from industrial units. Copper, brass and zinc also firmed up on increased demand from consuming industries coupled with higher advices from LME. Lead declined on poor buying support. Nickel hardened by Rs 7 a kg to Rs 947. Copper scrap heavy and copper armature rose by Rs 3 a kg each to Rs 318 and Rs 312 respectively. Copper cable scrap, copper utensils, copper wire bar and copper sheets cutting moved up by Rs 2 a kg each to Rs 324, Rs 290, Rs 352 and Rs 308 respectively. Brass utensils scrap, brass sheets cutting and zinc also looked up by Re 1 a kg each to Rs 218, Rs 225 and Rs 111. Lead eased by Rs 2 a kg to Rs 96. Menthol prices fall New Delhi: Menthol prices fell by Rs 5 a kg on subdued demand from pharma and other consuming units. Menthol bold crystal, flake and mentha oil prices fell by Rs 5 to Rs 615, Rs 595 and Rs 545 a kg respectively.
