Rubber futures top Rs 110/kg

Kottayam, Aug. 29 Spot rubber prices improved further on Saturday. In spot, the prices moved up catalysed by the sustained bullishness in domestic rubber futures on National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE). Sheet rubber flared up to Rs 108 from Rs 106.50 a kg as covering groups remained extremely aggressive on the grade. The market made all-round gains but the volumes were comparatively dull. The September futures for RSS 4 firmed up further to Rs 110.05 (109.19), October to Rs 111.52 (110.42), November to Rs 112.52 (111.26) and December to Rs 113 (111.99) a kg on NMCE. Spot prices were (Rs/kg): RSS-4: 108 (106.50); RSS-5: 105 (103.50); ungraded: 103 (101.50); ISNR 20: 98 (97) and latex 60 per cent: 77 (76.75).
