Unwrought aluminium stocks fall

Western world unwrought aluminium stocks fell to 1.205 million tonnes in July from 1.248 million at the end of June, industry data showed on Wednesday. Unwrought stocks stood at 1.591 million tonnes in July 2008, International Aluminium Institute (IAI) figures showed. Total aluminium smelter stocks excluding finished end-products fell to 2.279 million tonnes at the end of July versus a revised 2.333 million in June.
