National Aluminium Co raised the price 5 per cent after aluminium gained on the London Metal Exchange. The price was increased by Rs 5,000 ($103) a tonne starting July 22, the Nalco Finance Director, Mr B. L. Bagra, said in an interview. The price outlook is positive and improving, he said. Aluminium prices jumped to the highest in almost nine months in Shanghai on Friday after China, the world's largest producer and consumer of the light metal, imported more than 1 million tonnes of refined aluminium in the first six months of this year.
