Nickel declines on subdued demand

Prices of nickel, lead, brass and copper declined in a mixed non-ferrous metal market on Thursday due to subdued demand from industrial users. Nickel dropped by Rs 10 a kg to Rs 680. Lead fell by Rs 5 a kg Rs 90, brass sheets cutting by Rs 5 a kg to Rs 212 and brass utensils scrap by Rs 4 a kg to Rs 210. Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper armature, copper utensils, copper wire bar and copper sheets cutting moved down by Rs 2 a kg each to Rs 277, Rs 274, Rs 272, Rs 257, Rs 305 and Rs 268 respectively. Zinc also ended slightly lower by Re 1 a kg to Rs 102.
