Nickel drops on global cues

Metal prices declined sharply on the non-ferrous metal market on Tuesday on lack of industrial demand coupled with lower advices from London Metal Exchange (LME). Nickel dropped by Rs 45 a kg to Rs 690 and copper sheets cutting by Rs 11 a kg to Rs 271. Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper armature, copper utensils scrap and copper wire fell by Rs 10 a kg each to Rs 280, Rs 277, Rs 275, Rs 260 and Rs 308 respectively. Tin declined by Rs 7 a kg to Rs 715, brass utensils scrap by Rs 4 a kg Rs 214, brass sheets cutting by Rs 2 a kg to Rs 219 and zinc by Rs 2 a kg to Rs 102. Aluminium scrap also ended slightly lower by Re 1 a kg to Rs 81.
