Nalco sells 30,000 t alumina

National Aluminium Co Ltd (Nalco) sold 30,000 tonnes of alumina at $191.13 a tonne, a company source said on Thursday. The buyer was South Africa's Standard Bank, the senior official who did not want to be named said. Nalco, whose tenders serve as an international benchmark for alumina prices, last sold alumina at $195.25 a tonne early this month.
