Nickel moves up on demand

Prices of nickel, copper and brass moved up moderately in a narrowly mixed non-ferrous metal market on Wednesday on persistent industrial demand while tin and lead declined on lack demand from industrial users. Nickel rose by Rs 5 a kg to Rs 645. Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper armature, copper utensils scrap, copper wire bar, copper sheets cutting, brass utensils scrap and brass sheets cutting also moved up by Rs 2 a kg each to Rs 216, Rs 215, Rs 213, Rs 203, Rs 244, Rs 208, Rs 169 and Rs 172 respectively. Tin declined by Rs 10 a kg to Rs 690. Lead also ended slightly lower by Re 1 a kg to Rs 87.
