World aluminium stocks up in Dec

Total world aluminium inventories in December rose by 17,000 tonnes to 2.959 million tonnes (mt), from 2.942 mt in November, figures released on Monday by the International Aluminium Institute show. December's figure was up 111,000 tonnes from December 2007's inventory of 2.848 mt.
