Nickel firm on industrial demand

Prices of nickel, copper and aluminium utensils firmed up moderately in a narrowly mixed non-ferrous metal market on Monday on good industrial demand. Brass and lead moved down owing to lack of demand from industrial users. Nickel rose by Rs 10 a kg to Rs 680. Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar and copper sheets cutting firmed up by Rs 5 a kg each to Rs 223, Rs 251 and Rs 218 respectively.

Copper scrap heavy moved up by Rs 4 a kg to Rs 221, copper armature by Rs 3 a kg to Rs 218, aluminium utensils scrap by Rs 3 a kg to Rs 81 and copper utensils scrap also by Re 1 a kg to Rs 204. Brass sheets cutting moved down by Rs 2 a kg to Rs 165, brass utensils scrap by Re 1 a kg to Rs 160 and lead also by Re 1 a kg to Rs 75.
