Nickel dips; lead moves higher

Prices of nickel declined moderately on the local non-ferrous metal market on Friday on lack of industrial demand coupled with lower LME advices. Copper and aluminium also eased due to poor off take. However, tin, brass and lead moved up on good industrial support. Nickel fell by Rs.15 pr kg to Rs.1,675 from Rs.1,690 previously, copper cable scrap by Rs.3 per kg Rs.357, copper scrap heavy by Rs.3 per kg to Rs.352, copper wire bar by Rs.2 per kg to Rs.387 and aluminium ingots to Rs.134 per kg. However, tin firmed up by Rs.5 per kg to Rs.700, brass sheets cutting by Rs.5 per kg to Rs.275 and lead by Rs.2 per kg to Rs.105.
