Nickel declines on lack of demand

Prices of copper, brass and tin firmed up moderately in a narrowly mixed non-ferrous metal market on Monday on good demand from industrial users.

Nickel moved down on lack of industrial demand. Copper scrap heavy and copper utensils scrap rose by Rs 7 a kg each to Rs 222 and Rs 204 respectively.

Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar and brass utensils scrap firmed up by Rs 6 a kg each to Rs 223, Rs 251 and Rs 161 respectively.

Copper armature, copper sheets cutting, brass sheets cutting and tin also moved up by Rs 5 a kg each to Rs 219, Rs 216, Rs 165 and Rs 715 respectively. However, nickel declined by Rs 5 a kg to Rs 710.
