Nickel prices continue to rule firm

Nickel prices continued to rule firm in a narrowly mixed non-metal market on Friday on sustained demand from industrial users. Lead, zinc, brass, copper sheets cutting and copper armature also edged up on good industrial enquiries. Copper utensils scrap and aluminium moved down due to lack of industrial demand. Nickel rose by Rs 20 a kg to Rs 705 and lead by Rs 5 a kg to Rs 76. Copper sheets cutting and zinc moved up by Rs 2 per kilo each to Rs 192 and Rs 71 respectively. Copper armature and brass utensils scrap also ended slightly higher by Re 1 a kg each to Rs 192 and Rs 153 respectively. Copper utensils scrap and aluminium utensils scrap however, ended lower by Re 1 a kg each to Rs 178 and Rs 76 respectively.
