Nickel moves up on global cues

Prices of nickel, tin, copper and aluminium utensils moved up moderately on the non-ferrous metal market on Thursday due to fresh stockists buying in view of higher advices from London Metal Exchange (LME). Lead eased on lack of industrial demand. Nickel and tin shot up by Rs 20 a kg to Rs 685 and Rs 730 respectively. Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper wire bar and copper sheets cutting rose by Rs 7 a kg each to Rs 195, Rs 193, Rs 223 and Rs 190 respectively. Copper armature also moved up by Rs 6 a kg to Rs 191, copper utensils scrap by Rs 4 a kg to Rs 179 and aluminium utensils scrap by Re 1 a kg to Rs 77. Lead ended lower by Re 1 a kg to Rs 71.
