Nickel firm on industrial demand

Prices of nickel and copper firmed up in a mixed non-ferrous metal market on Friday due to good industrial demand while brass moved down owing to lack of demand from industrial users. Nickel firmed up by Rs 5 a kg to Rs 655. Copper utensils scrap also moved up by Rs 3 a kg to Rs 174, copper scrap heavy by Rs 3 a kg to Rs 185, copper armature by Rs 2 a kg to Rs 183 and copper sheets cutting by Rs 2 a kg to Rs 182. Copper cable scrap and copper wire bar also ended slightly higher by Re 1 a kg each to Rs 186 and Rs 214 respectively.
