Sumitomo to cut copper output

Tokyo, Dec. 24Sumitomo Metal Mining Co plans to cut its copper output for the first time in 12 years, in response to falling demand from the auto and electronics sectors amid a grim economic climate, the Sankei Shimbun reported in its Tuesday morning edition.
