Metals strengthen on global cues

Firm conditions prevailed in the wholesale non-ferrous metal market on Tuesday with select base metals rising on the back of overnight gains at London Metal Exchange. At wholesale market, tin ingot traded Rs.5 higher at Rs.785 per kg, while zinc slab up by Rs.3 at Rs.218 a kg. However, nickel plate 4x4, 9x9, and 4x24 remained weak and shed another Rs.10 each at Rs.2,290-2,340, Rs.2,290 and Rs.2,290-2,360 a kg respectively.
