Metal prices gain

Metal prices firmed up smartly on the non-ferrous metal market on Tuesday on stockists buying. Tin shot up by Rs 30 a kg to Rs 830 and nickel Rs 15 a kg to Rs 715. Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy and copper wire bar firmed up by Rs 4 a kg each to Rs 244, Rs 241 and Rs 272 respectively. Copper armiture moved up by Rs 3 a kg to Rs 237, copper sheets cutting by Rs 3 per kilo to Rs 234 and lead by Rs 2 a kg to 90. Brass utensils scrap and zinc also ended higher by Re 1 a kg each to Rs 167 and Rs 75 respectively.
