Tin rises on higher LME

Metal prices firmed up sharply on the non-ferrous metal market on Tuesday due to stockists buying coupled with higher advices from London Metal Exchange while nickel declined on lack of demand from industrial users. Tin shot up by Rs 80 a kg to Rs 890 from Rs 810. Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper armature, copper wire bar and copper sheets cutting firmed up by Rs 12 a kg each to Rs 327, Rs 322, Rs 319, Rs 355 and Rs 318 respectively. Copper utensils scrap also moved up by Rs 4 a kg to Rs 294, brass utensils scrap by Rs 3 a kg to Rs 235, zinc by Re 1 a kg to Rs 100 and lead by Re 1 a kg to Rs 98. Nickel fell by Rs 20 a kg to Rs 820 against Rs 840.
