Nalco sells 12,000 t aluminium

National Aluminium Co Ltd has sold 12,000 tonnes of primary aluminium at a premium of $42 a tonne over the metal's three-month London Metal Exchange rates, a top company official said. The metal, sold against a tender, will be shipped between October and March in phases. The official declined to reveal the name of the buyer. On Sept. 18, the Navratna company had sold 9,000 tonnes of primary aluminium at a premium of $71.10 over the metals three-month LME prices.
